Who we are
Treatmentcosts.co.uk (“we”, “us”) operates this website, a price-transparency and comparison service for private healthcare in the United Kingdom. For data-protection purposes we are the data controller. Treatmentcosts.co.uk is a trading name of Klaudia, a sole trader based at tbc. You can contact us at admin@treatmentcosts.co.uk.
What we collect
- Analytics data – if you consent to analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 collects anonymised usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser). Google may receive your IP address.
- Enquiries – if you contact us or submit a form, the details you provide (e.g. name, email, message).
- Server logs – standard technical logs (IP, user agent) kept for security and troubleshooting.
- Clinic information – we publish business information and prices that clinics make publicly available; this may include the names of clinicians where publicly listed.
- Newsletter – if you subscribe or tick the marketing opt-in when creating an account, we store your name, email address and which lists you chose, with your consent.
Legal basis
We process analytics data on the basis of your consent (which you can withdraw at any time via Cookie settings). We process enquiry data and operate the service on the basis of our legitimate interests in running and improving the platform, and to respond to you.
Sharing & third parties
We use Google Analytics (Google LLC) for website analytics and Brevo (Sendinblue) to store our newsletter contacts and send our emails. Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, it is protected by appropriate safeguards (e.g. the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses). We do not sell your personal data.
Marketing emails
If you opt in, we send occasional updates, cost guides and offers to the lists you chose. We rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time – every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to be removed. We store a record of your consent (date and IP address) as proof that you asked to hear from us. We never sell your email address or share it for others to market to you.
Retention
Analytics data is retained per our Google Analytics settings. Enquiry data is kept only as long as needed to deal with your request and meet legal obligations.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise these, email admin@treatmentcosts.co.uk. You can also withdraw analytics consent at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.
Clinics
If you represent a clinic and believe information about you is inaccurate or should be removed, contact admin@treatmentcosts.co.uk and we will review it promptly.
Complaints
If you have concerns you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
